Manuel Carrasco-Camacaro, 40 years old, is currently facing two charges of first-degree murder in the prosecution’s case. At one point in his life, he was seeing one of the victims romantically.
The quest for the culprit began in May after his identification; authorities believed he was heading south, maybe to a state with ties to Austin, Texas.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office conducted the search based on alerts received from Orange County investigators. The Orange County Jail is currently detaining Manuel Carrasco-Camacaro without bond.
On Saturday, following his arrest, the suspect made his initial court appearance in Orange County.
Although the suspect remains in detention during the legal process, the case continues. This arrest has profoundly affected the community and the victims’ families, marking a major step forward in the investigation.
