Clinton ‘Forgets’ Sanders’ Prominent Support For Healthcare Reform (VIDEO)

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton suffered an interesting memory lapse when slating her opponent’s track record on health care reform at a political event Saturday.

Speaking at a rally in St. Louis, Missouri, Clinton was addressing the issue of“standing up” against “powerful forces” to reform US healthcare when she questioned Sanders’ past efforts in this area.

“I always get a little chuckle when I hear my opponent talking about [reform],” she said, “well, I don’t know where he was when I was trying to get healthcare in ‘93 and ‘94.”

Shortly after Clinton’s comments were shared on social media, Sanders campaigner Mike Casca tweeted archive C-SPAN footage from the mid-90s, showing then-Vermont Congressman Sanders standing directly behind Clinton as she addresses a crowd on the healthcare “reform effort”.

In the video, Clinton specifically thanks Sanders for his support.

Both Democratic candidates are due to debate at a CNN town hall event in Ohio Sunday evening, two days before five more states go to the polls to cast a vote for their Democratic candidate of choice.

Hundreds of delegates are up for grabs in the votes in Florida, Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina and Ohio.
